The Portageville Fire Department is distributing water to citizens affected by the disruption of service at the Fire Shed (East 3rd Street) until 10:00 p.m. tonight (1/29/26).

Update (1/29/26 @ 2:30 p.m.): Due to a water main break, the entire service area of Portageville Water District will experience a disruption of service this afternoon. Crews are working to repair the issue. While we do not have an exact restoration time at this moment, we are hoping service will be restored sometime tonight. When service is restored, the service area will be under a Precautionary Boil Water Advisory until further notice. Once it is lifted, we will update customers through our alert system.
Due to a water main break, water service may be disrupted along the south side of Main Street between Huffman Avenue and the Railroad Tracks. Crews are currently working to repair the issue.

We have been notified by Republic Trash Services that there will be no interruptions in trash service due to the winter weather. Please have your trash out Wednesday night for pickup on Thursday as normal.
